Abstract: This study investigates parental attitude towards sex education at the lower primary level of education in Ghana. In all 100 parents ranging from 20 to 60 years, with diverse socio-economic backgrounds consisting of 64 males and 36 females where sampled for the study. Out of this number, 63% reside in urban areas, whereas 37% reside in rural areas. The results indicate that about 58% of parents have an unfavourable attitude towards sex education in lower primary schools. Unsurprisingly, all the parents who held unfavourable attitude towards sex education said that children are too young for sex education at the lower primary school level. However, of the parents who held favourable attitude; 81% indicated that children are exposed a lot these days. 17% admitted that sex education will be helpful to the children and 2% said children ask questions about sex anyway and needed to be provided with answers. Finally, the results showed that there is no gender difference in parental attitude towards sex education, as well as no residency difference about sex education. However, there was a difference in parental attitude in connection to their educational level. The implications of the findings from this research are discussed.

Abstract: This paper provides a theoretical foundation on the topic “Issues of sociocultural affects on learning disability.” The intent of this paper is to challenge the legitimacy of the claim that standardized tests do not relate to students’ sociocultural backgrounds with theoretical perspectives. To examine the relationship between standardized tests and students’ sociocultural backgrounds, we drew on idealism and empiricism as its framework. We examined the cogency of the definition for learning disability and the methodology applied to diagnosing students with Learning Disabilities. In consequence, we sought to determine meaningful implications in which to understand and diagnose students with Learning Disabilities

Abstract: The schooling structure of Pakistan, in terms of quality education and knowledge having the lowest ranking position in the globe. Several reasons can be held to blame for this state of affairs.i.e the quality of learning and competency level of both students and teachers in Pakistan is among the poorest in the region. One of the reasons is the low level of educational qualifications required to become a primary school teacher. Another is the quality of teacher certification programs, which suffers from the lack of adequately trained trainers, little emphasis on teaching practice and non-existence of proper support/monitoring system for teachers. Teacher and its role is one of these rudiments. Because teacher is key part of the schooling and learning progression, which faces diverse tribulations owing to which they cannot play their roles efficiently in the education process. This ongoing text is based on a systematic analysis of the on hand text, decisively analyses the tribulations faced by female primary school teachers in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan. Conclusion of this present on hand study reveals that teachers are not as much should be provoked towards teaching occupation, due to their appointments, transfers, place of posting and individual promotions, rapid rate of bribery and political affiliations and interference relatively than on merit. In many cases female teachers are appointed in inaccessible areas, where they not only faced with lodging and transport tribulations. The on hand study in additional establish that female teachers are overburdened with additional classes due to lack of teaching staff in primary schools, especially on one side female teachers face huge shortage of teaching and learning resources in schools and on the other side there are smaller amount proficient development opportunities for all teachers especially for female teachers. These few mentioned factors have very much affected the procedure of schooling and education in schools. Abstract: This article is a report about the development of a new instrument to measure South Korean elementary teachers’ anxiety about teaching mathematics; it explores the instrument’s underlying dimensions by examining the responses of 64 South Korean elementary teachers. From the conceptual framework, I designed three sub-scales in the Survey Items of the South Korean Elementary Teachers’ Anxiety about Teaching Mathematics (S-ATM): preference for mathematics or mathematics instruction, confidence in mathematics or mathematics instruction, and effectiveness of mathematics instruction. I conducted analyses of the principal components to determine the factor structures of the scales. The results showed that the relativity for each sub-scale’s Cronbach’s alpha was greater than .700. I also examined this scale’s validity by surveying the same participants with the Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Belief Instrument and comparing the results. The results demonstrated that the mathematics teaching anxiety sub-scales were significantly collated with the validation scale statistically. Its psychometric properties were sound, and the S-ATM instrument can be recommended for use in investigating South Korean elementary teachers’ anxiety about teaching mathematics

Abstract: The aim of the study is to determine pre-service elementary teachers’ perceptions of a Community Service Learning (CSL) course. The sample consisted of 102 pre-service elementary teachers taking the CSL course in the 2012-2013 spring semesters. The Perceptions of Community Service Practice Survey, personal journals, and open-ended questions were used as data sources. The survey had five subscales including student socialization, personal development, perception of the course, perception of the institutions, and perception of the advisor. The findings showed that pre-service teachers had a positive attitude toward the course especially in the socialization subscale with a statistically significant result compared to the other subscales.
